An Intranet is a website for your employees. The main purpose of an Intranet is to make your team more efficient and informed. An Intranet should give your employees all the resources they need to do their job effectively. No more hunting around for the latest version of a template or policy. Procedures and policy document are two of the most commonly found items in an Intranet.

Is SharePoint free?
At the time of this writing, SharePoint is part of your Microsoft 365 Business Basic licenses and above. A great many businesses will have this license or a higher one. There are commercial add-ons (called web parts) that can be purchased if required.
Is SharePoint easy to learn?
The latest version of SharePoint (SharePoint online) is much more user friendly than older versions of SharePoint.
